Scripture #22

“For just as rain and snow fall from heaven

and do not return there

without saturating the earth

and making it germinate and sprout,

and providing seed to sow

and food to eat,

so my word that comes from my mouth

will not return to me empty,

but it will accomplish what I please

and will prosper in what I send it to do.”

~ Isaiah 55:10-11 (CSB)

I am so grateful that every time we open our Bibles + listen to His words, fruit will come. This passage gives us a beautiful picture of rain and snow falling to the earth with a purpose: to nourish, to strengthen, to bring fruit and abundance. His Word is the same with us. When we draw near to Him and listen to and receive what He speaks, we are allowing His provision and nourishment and strength to rain over the soil of our lives, knowing it will bear fruit. A harvest will come.

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities of our spiritual lives is to invest in what we can’t see. Let’s invite the blessing of His Word to accomplish what He intends it to in our lives. And it will. He has promised.

If you’d like to join in memorizing a Scripture over the next 2 weeks, comment below with the Scripture you’ll be memorizing! I’m so thankful that we can be confident that these words are bringing life and accomplishing much more than we can see or know today.

xoxo,

Brittany
